Horizon Report 2009 K12 Edition Released by NMC and CoSN

What a month! Despite the recession, I have been keeping incredibly busy with Web site content development and consulting for VeriSign (the new Code Signing section I worked on went live) as well as new case studies for Blackboard and articles for SchoolDude. In the middle of it all, I attended one of the best CoSN conferences ever in Austin, TX. Every presentation I attended gave me new ideas and I had a terrific time meeting new people and connecting with old friends.

One of the highlights was the joint launch of the new Horizon Report for K12 by the New Media Consortium and CoSN. I helped present the report at a well-attended session. The Horizon report uses an interesting process of surveying a global group of experts to identify coming trends in technology on three different time horizons. I’ve been a huge fan of their higher ed report for years and was pleased to be on the advisory board for the first K12 report.
